Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about creating, ordering, caring for and receiving your custom printed T-shirts.
Designing Your T-Shirt
Can I upload my own design?
Yes! Upload your artwork directly from the product page and see it on your chosen T-shirt before you order.
For the best results, use a high-resolution PNG with a transparent background, especially when printing on coloured garments. We recommend artwork at 300 DPI or higher.
What file format should I use?
PNG is our preferred format, particularly if your design needs a transparent background.
JPEG/JPG is also suitable for photographs and designs with a full background, but it doesn't support transparency.
For the cleanest results on coloured T-shirts, we recommend a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background.
Can I use a photo?
Absolutely! You can upload photographs as well as graphics and illustrations.
For the best print quality, use the highest-resolution version of your photo. Avoid small, blurry or heavily compressed images, as these may look soft when printed.
Can you improve or edit my artwork?
We print your artwork as supplied and don't routinely edit, redraw, retouch, spell-check or improve customer files.
Please check your design carefully before ordering, including spelling, resolution, colours, transparency, size and positioning.
Can you help me create a design?
We don't currently offer an artwork design or editing service.
If you're not a designer, tools such as Canva can help you create simple artwork, while AI image-generation tools can help you create original images from a detailed description.
Whatever you use, make sure you check the finished artwork carefully before uploading it.
What resolution should my artwork be?
We recommend 300 DPI or higher at the size you intend to print.
A useful tip: changing a small, low-resolution image to 300 DPI doesn't magically add detail. Start with the largest and highest-quality original you have.
How big will my design be printed?
The maximum printable area is shown in our online designer.
Keep important text, logos and other details away from the edges of the printable area to avoid unwanted cropping.
Can I print on the front and back?
Where available, yes. The product designer will show you which print areas are available for your chosen T-shirt.
Colours & Print Quality
Why does my printed T-shirt look different from my screen?
Your screen uses RGB light, while printing uses inks or pigments. Because of this, some colours can look slightly different when printed.
Bright blues, greens, neons and other highly saturated colours can be particularly difficult to reproduce exactly.
Your screen brightness and settings can also affect how colours appear.
Why can the same design look different on different T-shirt colours?
Printing on dark garments can require a white base layer underneath the design. This can make colours appear slightly different compared with the same design printed on a white or light-coloured T-shirt.
For this reason, always check the preview on the actual garment colour you're ordering.
Will my T-shirt look exactly like the online preview?
The preview is designed to give you a good indication of the finished product, but it isn't an exact colour or size representation.
Small differences can occur due to screen settings, garment colour, fabric and the printing process.
How can I get the best possible print?
For the best results:
Use artwork at 300 DPI or higher.
Use a transparent PNG where appropriate.
Start with a high-resolution original.
Avoid very small text and extremely fine details.
Keep important elements away from the edge of the print area.
Preview your design carefully before ordering.
If ordering on different T-shirt colours, preview the design on each one.
T-Shirts & Sizing
How do I choose my T-shirt size?
Always check the size guide on the product page before ordering.
T-shirt sizing can vary between styles and brands, so don't rely solely on your usual size. If possible, compare the measurements with a T-shirt you already own and like the fit of.
Are your T-shirts unisex?
This depends on the particular garment. The product page will tell you whether the T-shirt is unisex, men's, women's or another fit.
Can I choose my T-shirt colour?
Yes! Where multiple colours are available, you'll be able to choose your preferred colour on the product page.
Remember that your design may look different depending on the garment colour, so check the preview after changing colours.
Will the print feel raised or heavy?
The feel of a print depends on the printing process, garment and design itself.
Large areas of solid artwork can feel different from smaller or more detailed designs. The final print is designed to remain comfortable and wearable.
Looking After Your T-Shirt
How should I wash my printed T-shirt?
To keep your T-shirt looking its best:
Turn it inside out before washing.
Follow the care instructions on the garment label.
Avoid unnecessarily high temperatures.
Don't use harsh bleaching products unless the care label allows them.
Air-dry where possible.
Don't iron directly over the printed design.
Can I tumble dry my T-shirt?
Check the garment's care label. If tumble drying is permitted, we recommend using a lower-temperature setting.
Excessive heat can reduce the lifespan of both the garment and print.
How long will my print last?
Print longevity depends on the garment, design, washing routine, drying method and frequency of wear.
Following the recommended care instructions will help your T-shirt and print stay looking great for longer.
Orders, Returns & Changes
Can I return or exchange my custom T-shirt?
Because custom T-shirts are made to your chosen specifications, we generally can't accept returns or exchanges simply because you've changed your mind or selected the wrong size or colour.
This also applies to customer-supplied artwork containing spelling mistakes, poor-quality images, incorrect layouts or other customer-created errors.
We also can't normally accept returns for garments that have been washed or worn.
Are there any exceptions?
Yes. Please contact us if:
Your T-shirt arrived damaged or defective.
We sent the wrong size or colour.
We printed the wrong design.
There is a significant printing error caused during production.
The garment has a significant manufacturing fault.
Please contact us through our Contact Us form and include your order number and photographs where appropriate.
Can I change my order after placing it?
We'll always do our best to help, but custom orders can enter production quickly, so changes aren't guaranteed.
If you need to change something, contact us as soon as possible with your order number.
Can I cancel my order?
If you need to cancel your order, contact us as soon as possible.
Because custom orders may enter production quickly, cancellation may not be possible once production has started.
What if I order the wrong size?
Please check our size guide carefully before ordering.
As your T-shirt is custom made to your specifications, we generally can't accept returns or exchanges because the wrong size was selected.
What if I make a spelling mistake?
Please check your artwork carefully before ordering.
We print customer artwork as supplied, so we're not responsible for spelling mistakes or other errors contained in the file you upload.
What if I select the wrong colour?
Please check your garment colour before completing your order.
If you've made a mistake, contact us immediately. If production hasn't started, we may be able to help, but changes can't be guaranteed.
Delivery
How long does my T-shirt take to make?
Your T-shirt is custom printed after you order rather than taken from ready-made printed stock.
Production times can vary, so please check the delivery information shown at checkout for the latest estimated timeframe.
How long will delivery take?
Delivery times depend on your destination and the shipping service you select.
Your order confirmation and shipping information will provide the relevant delivery details.
Can I track my order?
If tracking is available for your chosen delivery service, you'll receive tracking information once your order has been dispatched.
What if my order hasn't arrived?
Check your order confirmation and tracking information first.
If your expected delivery timeframe has passed and your order still hasn't arrived, contact us through our Contact Us form with your order number and we'll investigate.
Can I change my delivery address?
Contact us as soon as possible if you've entered the wrong address.
We may be able to change it if your order hasn't been processed or dispatched, but we can't guarantee changes once production or shipping has begun.
Do you ship internationally?
Shipping destinations and costs are shown at checkout and may vary depending on your location.
Copyright & Artwork
Can I print any image I find online?
Not necessarily.
Just because an image is available online doesn't mean you have permission to reproduce it. You're responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to use any artwork, photograph, logo or other content you upload.
Can I print a company or sports team logo?
Only if you have permission or the appropriate rights to reproduce it.
Please don't upload copyrighted or trademarked artwork unless you're authorised to use it.
Can I print movie characters or other copyrighted artwork?
You're responsible for ensuring that the artwork you upload doesn't infringe someone else's copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights.
We reserve the right to refuse designs where there are concerns about intellectual property or other prohibited content.
Do you check my artwork for copyright?
We can't guarantee that every uploaded design is manually reviewed for copyright, trademarks or other rights before production.
By uploading artwork, you confirm that you have the necessary rights or permission to have it reproduced.
Problems With Your Order
What if my T-shirt arrives damaged?
Please contact us as soon as possible through our Contact Us form.
Include your order number and clear photographs of the damage, including the packaging if relevant. We'll review the issue and let you know what happens next.
What if I receive the wrong T-shirt?
If we've sent the wrong size, colour, garment or design, contact us with your order number and photographs of the item you received.
We'll investigate and put things right where appropriate.
What if there's a printing mistake?
If your T-shirt doesn't match what you ordered, contact us with your order number and photographs of the finished garment.
We'll review the issue and determine whether the problem occurred during production.
What if the T-shirt has a manufacturing fault?
Contact us as soon as possible if you believe the garment itself has a significant manufacturing defect.
Where possible, don't wash or wear the garment before contacting us, as this can make it harder to assess the original condition.
Still Have a Question?
Can I order just one T-shirt?
Yes! Unless otherwise stated on the product page, you can order a single custom T-shirt without having to meet a minimum quantity.
Can I use the same design on different T-shirts?
Yes. You can use the same artwork on different sizes, colours and compatible garment styles.
Always preview your design on each garment colour before ordering.
Can I create T-shirts for a group or event?
Absolutely! Custom T-shirts are perfect for birthdays, parties, clubs, teams, businesses, family events and celebrations.
For larger orders, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Can I order a T-shirt as a gift?
Of course! Custom T-shirts make great personalised gifts.
Just make sure you've selected the correct size and colour before ordering, as customised items generally can't be returned simply because the recipient doesn't like the design or it doesn't fit.
Why is there a white box around my design?
This usually happens when an image has a solid background rather than transparency.
If you want the T-shirt colour to show around your artwork, use a PNG with a transparent background. You can also try our Remove Background tool, but always check the result carefully before ordering.
Why does my uploaded image look blurry?
Your original image may not contain enough detail for the size you're trying to print.
Increasing the DPI of a small or blurry image won't restore lost detail. Whenever possible, upload the highest-quality original image you have.
Can I use a transparent background?
Yes! PNG files support transparency, which allows the T-shirt colour to show through around your design.
This is particularly useful when printing artwork on coloured garments.
Can I see my design before ordering?
Yes. Our online designer lets you preview your artwork on the T-shirt before you place your order.
Before checking out, carefully review the design, spelling, size, position and garment colour to make sure everything looks right.
